Education

Undergraguate:

Building and their surroundings are deeply related to human life. They must be designed for good health and human well-being and be planned with precautions against earthquake, typhoons and other disasters.
In the curriculum there are many lectures, exercises and practice in various fields of science which extend form engineering to cultural and social science. It includes the plastic arts and city planning as well as mathematics, dynamics, experiments in materials and so on. Much time is allotted to exercises in architectural design.
The student is required to become a person with high culture and flexible thought as well as a technical engineer.

Master's Course:

In the Master's Program in Architectural Engineering, three courses of study are offered: planning, environmental engineering and structural engineering. The student must select his/her own major upon matriculation. His/her study is supervised under the personal guidance of a professor in his/her field.
Furthermore, all students are required to attend lecture in Special Topics I, which is given by the staff. From these lectures a student can acquire an outline of techniques and problems in all fields of architectural engineering necessary for a young engineer.
